Uzbekistan - Innovative startup parks are being created to support entrepreneurs

By Resolution No. 553 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated October 9, 2026, the creation of innovative parks in the form of state institutions within the system of the Agency for Innovative Development under the Ministry of Education and Science is provided for.
The main tasks defined for the new startup parks are:
1) comprehensive support for startups and manufacturers of innovative products;
2) provision of the necessary logistical, technical, and engineering infrastructure;
3) organization of business incubation and acceleration programs;
4) provision of organizational, legal, financial, and marketing services to entrepreneurs on a "single window" principle;
5) assistance in the certification and registration of innovative products, the protection of intellectual property assets, as well as in the promotion of goods in domestic and foreign markets and participation in exhibitions.
The activities of the parks being created will be coordinated by the Agency for Innovative Development. Production premises within the parks are planned to be leased to entrepreneurs through electronic online auctions.
The financing of the parks will be ensured from the proceeds of their economic activity and lease, funds of local khokimiyats, international grants, and other sources not prohibited by law.
The Resolution entered into force on October 9, 2026.
